LibCabinet @Woodward Corner Market

Welcome to the Royal Oak Public Library’s LibCabinet @Woodward Corner Market! The LibCabinet is a library book vending machine. It is open the same hours as Woodward Corner Market, so if the Library is closed and the Market is open, you can still access some great books!

Here is how it works:

  • Scan your library card (must have a card with a TLN Shared System Library)
  • The door opens…
  • Take out up to 5 books
  • Close the door – the machines scans the books
  • Your books are checked out!

When returning books:

  • Scan your library card
  • Place your books in the machine
  • Close the door, and the machine scans the books
  • Your books are checked in!

Be sure to download the Royal Oak Public Library app to your phone so you always have your library card with you! To be more sustainable, we do not provide printed receipts. If your email is on record in the system, you will be sent an email.

We want to thank our partners in this project:

  • Woodward Corner Market has provided us with a great space and is a critical partner. Thanks to their team for helping with the project!
  • The start-up collection was funded by Royal Oak Civic Foundation and generous donors like you
  • In 2023, the former Board member Victoria Dickinson donated $50,000 to the Library upon her passing. Vicki lived on the north end of Royal Oak, and also volunteered at Corewell Beaumont Hospital. We hope to honor her legacy by improving access to library books to the residents of the north end of Royal Oak

Stop by the Market, grab a cup of coffee, a pastry and a book and enjoy the lovely café space, which provides plenty of seating in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
