Elderly AssistanceSponsored by a grant from Beaumont Hospital, the A.G.E. program provides assistance to the frail elderly of Royal Oak, utilizing the talents of volunteers.

Front Desk Receptionist Volunteer Needed!

Roles and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Royal Oak Senior Community Center Staff, the Volunteer Receptionist will be responsible for day-to-day duties assigned to the Front Desk. This position is ideal for those conscientious, friendly, individuals with organizational, interpersonal and verbal communication skills; who desire to give back to our Senior Community.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering all incoming calls and transferring calls to the appropriate staff members, mainitaining daily lunch reservations and payments, recording daily class participation, collecting payment for newsletters and baked goods, assisting with RSVP to free programs (as needed), helping to direct customers appropriately. Ensuring the cleanliness of the front desk areas for staff, visitors, and other volunteers.

Essential: Willingness to follow the Code of Conduct and Customer Service Values of the City of Royal Oak, Michigan.

Training provided onsite.
