Outreach Administrator Carolyn Marsh helps residents aged 62 and over through the sometimes overwhelming process of obtaining needed services. Please call 248-246-3917 with your concerns about personal care, prescription assistance, housing or any other independent living needs. An in-home visit to assess needs is available through this service at no cost.
Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program By appointment only. For assistance in choosing the right Medicare plan, Medicare Part D prescription plans or Medicaid, call for a MMAP appointment.
Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group Alzheimer's Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe space for caregivers, family, and friends of persons with dementia to build a support system with people who understand. It allows participants to exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns, as well as learn about community resources. The support group meets each month to encourage caregivers to maintain their own personal, physical, and emotional health, as well as optimally care for the person with dementia. Aphasia Support Group This group is for adults with communication disorders. Gain support from others on your road to recovery. For more information, please call Carolyn Marsh.
Meets weekly on Thursdays at 10:00 am-12:00 pm. NO FEE.
Low Vision & Blind Support Group The Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology support group provides a comfortable environment to discuss the challenges of living fully with visual impairment. There will often be guest speakers on a variety of topics and will always include discussion focusing on the successes and difficulties of daily life.

Grief Support Group Living On, hosted by the Hospice of Michigan, is a series of ongoing groups where grief & loss topics are addressed as they arise, depending on the interests of those attending the group. The focus of these groups is to express feelings & experiences related to the loss in a supporting, caring, and no judgmental environment. Registration is required.
