Construction Project Updates

Residents on affected streets were mailed construction notices in the Spring with detailed information on the project.

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project. If you have questions you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

CAP1908/09 14 Mile Road Resurfacing Improvements

Greenfield Road to Crooks Road

City Contractor: Pamar Enterprises, Inc

The city's contractor is finalizing restoration and plans to have the 14 Mile roadway completely re-opened to traffic before the holiday.

CAP1935 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

The week of July 1st, there will be minimal construction activities on the project streets. The contractor is working on cleaning up for the holiday weekend and will begin work again next week.

CAP1905 Concrete Pavement Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Inc.

The contractor plans to continue pavement work on the project streets south of 14 Mile Road the week of July 1st. The contractor plans (weather permitting) to have all open excavations poured prior to the holiday weekend.

If driveway access will be affected, residents will receive a notice via door hanger the day beforehand. The contractor will only work on one side of the street at a time, to maintain access for residents.

CAP1915 Asphalt Resurfacing

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries Inc

The week of July 1st, the contractor plans to place the first layer of asphalt on the remaining project streets (weather permitting) before the holiday weekend.

CAP1910 Water Main Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

The week of July 1st, the contractor will be preparing the south half of Judson Ave for new pavement and paving the north half of Albert Ave. The contractor will also be testing the newly installed water main on Normandy Road west of Coolidge Hwy.
