Royal Oak Police Department Launches Hope Not Handcuffs

In partnership with Families Against Narcotics (FAN) the Royal Oak Police Department becomes part of the growing Hope Not Handcuffs network that brings law enforcement and community organizations together to find treatment options for individuals battling addiction.  Instead of arrest, any individual seeking help to reduce their dependency on drugs or alcohol, can come to the police department and be greeted with compassion and respect.  Police personnel along with volunteer Angels will guide the individual through the process to get them in a treatment program.  Want to become an Angel?  Royal Oak Police will host an Angel Training on Tuesday, June 19 from 6:30 to 8:30pm.  To register please to to:  www.familiesagainstnarcotics.org/hopenothandcuffs-angel
