Parking Lot to Close June 5
On Tuesday, June 5 the north side of the Williams Street parking lot (adjacent to the east side of the library) will close to make way for a 581-space parking garage. Once built, the new garage will be patrolled by Royal Oak Police, and will include two-hours of free parking before 5 p.m. similar to the city-owned Center Street, Lafayette North and South garages.
To accommodate residents, visitors and disabled individuals, a new public, three-hour metered parking lot, with handicap parking, is now available between City Hall and the Royal Oak Library. During farmers market events the parking is free of charge.
