Completed Streets

Many city projects are substantially complete, except for restoration. Several contractors have begun restoration and will continue throughout the month.

CAP1735 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Mark Anthony Contracting, Inc.

Batavia Avenue

The contractor has placed the bottom course of asphalt along Batavia Avenue and is planning to complete topsoil and sod restoration work during the week of October 9th. In order to keep the final pavement surface clean, the final top course of asphalt will be placed after restoration is complete.

Dallas Avenue

The contractor plans to place topsoil and sod after restoration on Batavia Avenue is complete.

Lockwood Avenue

Lockwood Avenue is now open to traffic. The contractor replaced driveway approaches and sidewalk on Saturday, which will remain closed for approximately one week.
Consumers Energy has several flags of sidewalk to be replaced as part of the gas service work. Restoration will take place once the other project streets are completed.

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Co., Inc.

The contractor will continue work on Hickory, Marais and Galpin Avenue this week. The contractor has several punch-list items on various streets, which will be addressed after the remaining three streets have been completed.
