2025 Construction Projects

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

STARTING THIS WEEK:

CAP2506 13 Mile Road Resurfacing

Rochester Road to Campbell Road

The contractor will be starting work this week. They will be setting up traffic control devices and switching traffic to the inside lanes. One lane will be open in each direction for traffic. 

The contractor will begin work on replacing some concrete curbing, driveway approaches and sidewalk ramps along the outside lanes on both the north and south sides.

CAP2507 N. Main Street and Coolidge Highway Resurfacing

N. Main Street from 13 Mile Road to north city limits

This project is now substantially complete. The roadways have been re-opened fully to traffic and only minor restoration work remains to be completed.

CAP2510 Water Main Improvements

1. Lexington Boulevard - N. Washington to Marais

2. Nakota Road - Crooks to Hillcrest/Massoit

3. E. Parent Avenue - Longfellow to dead end

The contractor plans to finish laying the new water main piping on Lexington this week. Once complete, the new water main will undergo testing.

Time permitting, the contractor may begin water main piping installation on E. Parent Ave.

CAP2535 Road Reconstruction

Ravena Avenue - Hillside Drive - Benjamin Traffic Circles

The contractor is completing joint sealing on Monday, followed by street sweeping. Then striping and paint markings will occur and sign installation.

2025 Sidewalk Program

The contractor is working on sidewalk replacement along the major roads in the target area and expects to complete the work by mid-August. Once the regular sidewalk work is complete the contractor will work on their punch list of repairs.

Please note that construction schedules are tentative, and may change based on weather delays, subcontractors or substantial field modifications. These updates are based on the information currently available.
