2023 Construction Project Map available now!

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2306 Rochester Road

This week the contractor is continuing work on the east side of the roadway. All pavement has been removed and the contractor is placing the new aggregate road base and curb & gutter this week and grading.

Turn Restrictions and Closures:

Left turns will not be allowed for northbound and southbound traffic at 12 Mile Road, Girard Avenue and at 13 Mile Road during construction to avoid backups. Northbound Rochester Road will be completely closed between Gardenia Avenue and Dewey Street. Local access to the Oakview Cemetery and Rite Aid will remain open.

More information about the lane conversion can be found at: www.romi.gov/RochesterRoad

CAP2308 Major Road Improvements

Vinsetta Boulevard:

This week, the contractor is milling the existing road pavement on Vinsetta, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. Once complete the contractor will be road testing and doing measurements to prepare for grading and paving next week.

Normandy Road:

Construction and water main installation has been delayed to the week of May 15th.

Normandy Road will be closed to thru traffic throughout construction. Residents with driveways on Normandy will still be able to enter the construction zone via the side streets to access their property. Businesses should direct their patrons, employees and deliveries to use Coolidge to access Normandy Road to minimize conflicts with construction work.

Lincoln Avenue:

The road is closed to thru traffic, but access to businesses and residences will remain open. The contractor has completed concrete work and tentatively plans to mill the roadway surface the week of May 15th.

CAP2305 Concrete Repair Program

The contractor is progressing with work in the Phase 1 & Phase 2 areas with second halves. The contractor will also begin removals in the Phase 3 neighborhood with plans to pour the new pavement towards the end of week/beginning of next week.

Work will only be performed on one side of the street at a time, to maintain access for residents throughout construction. Only the worst sections of concrete pavement will be removed and replaced, not the entire roadway. If driveway access will be affected, residents will be notified the day beforehand via doorhanger.

The map below shows the project streets highlighted in LIGHT BLUE.
