DOWNTOWN ROYAL OAK PARKING UPDATE

As of today, April 20, 2023, updates to the Municipal Parking Services (MPS) agreement are now in effect in Downtown Royal Oak. The amendments include: 

1. Free parking, also known as the grace period, is now 15 minutes for on-street parking. The previous time period was five minutes. 

2. On-street parking maximum time limits are now three hours. The previous allotment was two hours.

Reminder: 

1. Parking in Downtown Royal Oak is free on Sundays and all Civic Holidays, and now includes the Juneteenth holiday. 

2. North Lafayette Parking, South Lafayette Parking, Center Street Garage and the 11 Mile Road Parking Garage.
