UPDATE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES: DPS worked overnight to clear major streets from yesterday's snow storm. Because temperatures are expected to stay near 40 for most of the day, significant melt off is expected and DPS is not planning to plow neighborhoods at this time, but continues to monitor and may change that assessment.
THERE IS NO SNOW EMERGENCY IN PLACE AT THIS TIME.
Heavy snow and winds did result in tree damage throughout the city. Forestry crews are in clearing debris. If a downed limb poses an immediate hazard or is blocking a road or sidewalk, contact PD dispatch at 248-246-3500. To report all other downed limbs, please submit and address and other pertinent information to DPS@romi.gov and crews will respond in turn.
