Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering at the library, please turn in a paper application or fill out an online application below. Teen volunteers must be at least 14 years old to volunteer with a valid work permit from your school. Please use the age appropriate Teen Volunteer Application below.

Job Listings

Friends of the Library

  • Board Member
    - Board Members plan fundraisers and other activities to support the library programs and services. Meetings take place monthly on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm.
  • Book Scanner
    - Scan donated books for internet salability.
  • Butterfly Garden
    - Weeding, help with planting, general garden maintenance.
  • Donated Book Sorter
    - Description: Sort through donated books and media.
  • Friends Shop
    - Staff the Friends shop in the library.
  • Used Book Sales
    - Assist with setup and takedown of book sales. Typically in March.

In the Library 

  • Youth Program Program Preparation and Helper
     - Prepare crafts for youth programs. Occasionally volunteers are needed for programs.
  • Youth Summer Reading Program
     - Prepare and assist with youth programs during the months of June-August. Including SRP Opening day, closing day, book distribution, and craft preparation.
  • Shelf Reading and Maintenance
    - Makes sure that the books on the shelves are neat, tidy, and clean.
  • Local History Volunteer
    - Organizing and filing newspaper clippings. Possible scanning of clippings for the website.
