The Friends Auditorium is available for rent to groups engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, civic or charitable activities. It is not available for private functions such as birthday parties, wedding receptions or family reunions. Please see the links below for rates, terms and conditions. Submitting an application does not guarantee a reservation; staff will connect with you to confirm.

Auditorium and Meeting/Study Room Policy - 3.10

Reserve a Study Room

There are 4 study rooms, available for 2 hours per person per day, which accommodate 1-6 people. The small conference room is available for 4 hours per person per day and requires a minimum of 2 and allows a maximum of 8 people. Please visit this page to reserve a room.

A valid shared system library card is required to reserve a room up to 2 weeks in advance. Non-residents and residents without a shared system card can access the study rooms and the small conference room by visiting the library in-person and using a guest pass issued by library staff. All reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Royal Oak residents 12 and older may apply for an instant digital card online.

You have a 10-minute window to check out your room reservation with staff at the Check Out Desk for the main-level study rooms and the small conference room or with the Youth Services Desk staff for the lower-level study rooms or your reservation will be automatically cancelled.
