Arthur R. Boerger age 100 of Chesterfield passed away October 5 2011. He was active with the Spirit of Detroit Boat Races chairman of the Rescue Team for Unlimited Boat Races in Detroit former member of the American Legion proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Arthur was survived by Margot his wife of 48 years who then passed away five days later. Survived by his son Michael; step-children Janet (Lawrence) Nowinski Roland (Barbara) Barger; two grandsons; nine step-grandchildren 13 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great grandson. Predeceased by step-daughter Marilyn Barger. Memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday November 5 in the Chapel at the Village of East Harbor 33875 Kiely Drive Chesterfield. Memorials may be made to the Village of East Harbor or Lutheran Special Ministries 6861 E. Nevada Suite 2 Detroit MI 48234. Arrangements by Gendernalik Funeral Home New Baltimore.
