Come to the Library on Tuesday, February 8 at 7:00 PM to be dazzled by an exhibit of great beadwork. Members of the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild will talk about the group’s work, share tips on beading and hold a show-and-tell of amazing projects.
Sharon Wagner, the guild’s Exhibit Chair, will provide a 30-minute presentation on the guild and the classes, events and services it offers. Guild members will be on hand to show off their work, including a member whom Wagner says is one of the organization’s finest bead embroiderers.
The guild was founded in 1992 in Royal Oak and boasts about 300 members in Southeast Michigan. The group’s mission is to promote and encourage interest in beadwork through social and educational programs. Check out the guild and get bitten by the beading bug!
