DIECK, JAMES R.; of Waterford; went to be with the Lord October 7, 2014; at 72 years of age. Loving and devoted husband of Carole for 50 years; beloved father of David (Cindy) Dieck, the late Julie Dieck and Christopher (DoReean) Dieck; dear grandfather of Lindsey, Christine and Nathan; brother of Donald (the late Mary Lou) Dieck. Preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Lucille. Jim retired from Waterford Schools in 1994 after 30 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a true servant of good works in serving his community, his church and his family. A big advocate of early childhood education, Jim founded Bucket of Love and The Giving Tree programs in Waterford. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene, 2840 Airport Rd., Waterford.
