Hartwig, Mary; age 96; of Rochester Hills, Michigan; died November 14, 2014; after a brief illness. Mrs. Hartwig was born Mary Dadian in 1918 in Racine, Wisconsin. Her parents were Hairabed and Johar Dadian. The youngest of four children, Mary grew up in a vibrant community of immigrant families. After graduation from Horlick High School she pursued a career in the fashion business in Chicago, where she met and married Neil B. Hartwig in 1952. They moved to Rochester, Michigan, Neil’s home town, where they raised two children, built a business, and were active parishioners of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Together they enjoyed traveling to all corners of the world. In the 1980s Mary resumed her career, and was employed at Janet Varner in downtown Rochester until her retirement in 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 23, 2002, and by her son, David O. Hartwig, brothers Kai Dadian and Arnie Dadian, sister Margaret Dadian Chobanian, and nephew Haig Chobanian. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jennifer Harmon; son-in-law Kenneth M. Harmon; nephews Edward Chobanian, Christopher Dadian, and Aram Dadian; niece Margaret Dadian; 11 great nieces and great nephews; and the many friends she treasured. Funeral Liturgy 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood @ Northwood St, Rochester. In State 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of Mass. Burial to follow in Mt.
