Eating and Buying Locally

Eating and Buying Locally

Wed, Nov 03
07:00 PM - 08:30 PM
Friends Auditorium

Featured Programs, Adult, Teen, Youth, Family

Modern agriculture would make you think it’s normal to eat tropical fruits in the middle of a Michigan snowstorm. The locavore movement is all about eating foods that are locally grown to ensure that produce is truly fresh, local farmers are supported, and the carbon footprint of your dinner is kept to a minimum.

Please join us at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 3 in the Friends Auditorium as Chef Mary B teaches us how to eat in harmony with the seasons year round. She will also provide resources on regional organizations and shopping tips.

For more information about Chef Mary B. see www.lovingoodies.com.
