NEMBHARD, LINDA SUE; born December 30, 1951; passed away November 10, 2014. Linda was born in Ortonville, MI. She attended school in Ortonville and at Pontiac Central, from which she graduated with honors. She then went to work for Oakland County Government, Oakland Schools, and then the county courthouse as a Custodian. After 32 distinguished years, she retired. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Wally Herbert Vokes; mother, Edna Vokes; and brother, Daniel (Danny) Vokes. She is survived by a very loving and faithful husband of 31 years, Emrol S. Nembhard; loving children, Michael and Charlene; sisters, Sharon, Carol, and Judy; grandniece, Jasmine; and other nieces and nephews. Linda was loving and loveable, kind, charitable; everybody loved Linda! She is and will always be missed at the courthouse. Her Christmas parties which she organized for her coworkers were memorable. That $11,000 new wedding ring she found in a bathroom at work and turned it into the Sheriff’s there, put a special stamp on her. She was published by the Oakland Press and Free Press from Detroit and was given a plaque and a letter of commendation. Her replacement at work, Dee, is ideal and will carry on. Funeral was private.Published in Daily Tribune on Nov. 30, 2014+Read More Share Listen to Obituary Remember Share a message, photo, or video below View guest book What will you miss most about Linda Sue Nembhard?
