Volunteer Your Time
If you are interested in volunteering at the Library, please turn in an application. Download, print and bring in the volunteer application or ask for the application at the Circulation Desk.
Donate Your Books & Media
Donations of books and audio-visual materials are always welcome. Most needed are hardcovers and paperbacks in good condition, magazines in very specialized areas, books about Michigan, and records, tapes, DVDs, and CDs. Please do not donate books that are musty, dirty, or torn, or magazines or textbooks older than 2005. Please leave donations on the cart next to the Circulation Desk on the main floor or on the yellow wagon at the Troy Street (staff) entrance. Staff will be glad to give you a receipt for tax purposes.
Donate Your Money
Donations are used to supplement taxpayer support, funding library resources, programs, and furnishings, and circulating and online materials that benefit our community.
Your donation to the Royal Oak Public Library is deductible for federal income tax purposes.
