Exploring Foster Parenting and Adoption
Tuesday, May 12
06:30 PM - 08:30 PM
With over 13,000 children in the foster care system, the State of Michigan is always in need of more loving foster and adoptive families to help provide temporary or permanent care for children.
To bring awareness to National Foster Care Month in May, Erin Wright from Ennis Center for Children will present information on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 pm for families, couples, and individuals who would like to learn more about the Child Welfare System in Michigan.
Topics will include an overview of the Foster Care and Adoption system, the foster home licensing/approval process, foster parent responsibilities, and the process of adopting a child from foster care. A current foster parent will also be present to give a personal testimony and answer questions.
Registration is requested. Fill out the form below or call the adult reference desk at 248-246-3727. Sponsored by the Friends of the Royal Oak Public Library.
