Alexander Technique: The Thinking Person’s Response to Pain & Stress

Thursday, June 04
07:00 PM - 08:30 PM
Friends Auditorium

Adult, Featured

The Alexander Technique works by helping you identify and prevent the harmful postural habits that can cause, or aggravate, stress, pain or lack of effectiveness. You learn to release tension and rediscover balance of mind and body. With increased awareness you can:

  • be poised without stiffness
  • move gracefully yet with strength
  • be alert and focused with ease
  • breathe and speak with freedom
  • be calm and confident

Carol Strozier, a certified and registered Alexander Technique teacher, will explain and demonstrate how to achieve a balanced body and mind, and better health and positive well being.

Due to popular demand, Carol will present her program on both Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4 at 7:00 pm in the Friends Auditorium. The program is limited to 20 people per session so please register for only one session. Wear comfortable clothing.

Registration is required. Fill out the form below or call the adult reference desk at 248-246-3727. Sponsored by the Friends of the Royal Oak Public Library.
