Youth, Youth Book Clubs

New this summer! The non-fiction book club will explore the fascinating life of honeybees and some major challenges that they are facing.

A choice of titles will be available at the Youth Services Desk. These will include The Case of the Vanishing Honeybees: A Scientific Mystery by Sandra Markle and The Hive Detectives: Chronicle of a Honey Bee Catastrophe by Loree Griffin Burns. Then meet with Royal Oak beekeepers, Joan Mandell and Rich Wieske, see a demonstration hive, sample bee products, handle beekeeping tools and equipment, and find out how you can help out honeybees. Limit 50.
