CREWS, MARGARET JEAN “Peggy”; of Auburn Hills; passed away on November 1, 2014 at the Lake Orion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center; age 91. Loving mother of John (Freddie) Crews of Metamora, Cecil Crews of Auburn Hills and Jean (Bart) Ryan of Lapeer; cherished grandmother of Lori Crews, Deborah Rice, Suzanne Gettel and Jennifer Flores; as well as nine great grandchildren. Peggy was born on March 1, 1923 in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia. She met her late husband, Cecil during WWII in Brisbane, Australia, where she was working as a conductress on the Tram System during the war. They married in 1942 and she moved to the United States in 1946. After making the United States her home, with great pride she became a U.S. Citizen. She was an amazing mother and person, with a wicked sense of humor, a brilliant mind and was very deeply loved by her family and friends. The cookie jar was never empty. No services will be held.
