Key, Marie Esther (nee Dingee), age 91, of Bonita Springs, Florida formerly of Royal Oak, Michigan, died on Monday, November 25, 2014 in Bonita Springs. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 9, 1923, she spent most of her life in Michigan before moving to Bonita Springs in 1999. Marie had a long and successful career with Dow Chemical Corporation. She was the president of the Royal Oak Toastmasters Club and the founder of a local Meniere’s Disease Support Group. At the time of her passing, Marie was a resident of Juniper Village in Naples, Florida. Marie is survived by her daughters, Marianne (Tim) Durbin of Bonita Springs, Florida and Jacqueline (Mike ) Lyons of Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada; one sister, Blanche Connell of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, William Dingee of Bellingham, Washington and David Dingee of The Villages in Florida; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late husbands, John E. Scanlon in 1980 and Robert C. Key in 1998; sisters, Eleanor Dingee and June Wark; brothers, Albert Dingee, Lester Dingee and Paul Dingee. A memorial gathering will be held on a later date in Michigan. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs, Florida 34135.
