Chuhran, Kay F., age 78, of Clinton Township, passed away surrounded by family and friends in her home. She was born on May 23, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Clyde and Kathryn (DuChene) Gage. On July 14, 1956, Kay was united in marriage with Ronald Chuhran in St. Jude Catholic Church in Detroit. Kay had a Master’s Degree in Education from Wayne State University. She taught kindergarten for 30 years at Ottawa Elementary School in Clinton Township. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mt. Clemens. Kay is survived by her husband, Ronald and two sons, Douglas (Rhonda) and David (Aimee); three grandchildren, Brandon (Rae), Jesse and Megan; great-granddaughter, Clara; and her brother, Dennis (Kim) Gage. Kay was predeceased by a brother, Larry Gage. Visiting hours will be on Monday, November 17, from 2-8 p.m. with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. in Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mt. Clemens. Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 18, at 11:30 a.m. (instate 11 a.m.) at St. Peter Catholic Church, Market Street, Mt. Clemens with Reverend Father Michael N. Cooney officiating. Kay’s cremated remains will be placed in a niche at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township.
