On Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00 pm, meet Jerry Dennis, author of many literary and popular works about nature, science, and outdoor recreation, including The Living Great Lakes: Searching for the Heart of the Inland Seas.
Jerry has written for The New York Times, Smithsonian, Audubon, and many other publications. His books have won numerous awards, have appeared on national bestseller lists, and have been translated into five languages. In 1999 the Michigan Library Association named Dennis the Michigan Author of the Year. He and his wife, Gail, live near the shore of Lake Michigan not far from Traverse City.
Jerry Dennis will read from and discuss his powerful and insightful new book about winter in Great Lakes country, The Windward Shore: A Winter on the Great Lakes. Jerry will be autographing copies of his book, which will be available for purchase after the presentation.
