Van KEUREN, Max Wayne; of Clarkston; October 5, 2014; age 82. High school sweetheart and beloved husband of Betty June for 62 years; dear father of Shellie (Rich) Sanders; grandpa of Lucas Wayne and Jillian J.; brother of Martha Cohoon and Nita (Les) Fant. Preceded in death by sister, Lila Andress; “Uncle Sonny” of seven nieces and two nephews; Godfather of Candace Grogg. Max served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an excellent athlete and avid outdoorsman. He retired from Pontiac Steel after 48 years of service.
