Carnaby Jr., Clark W., born December 9, 1923, in Omaha Nebraska, went to be with his Lord on October 20, 2014, in Palm Harbor, Florida. During his long and blessed life, he lived in Omaha, NE, Rapid City, S.D., Royal Oak and Caseville, Mich., Tarpon Springs and St. Mark’s Village, Florida. He was blessed to love and be loved by His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and worshiped God everywhere he lived. In Royal Oak, he was an active participant in the ministries of First Presbyterian. He was also blessed in marriage with Nancy (Neef) for over 62 years. He loved being a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. They raised four children; Henry (Cathleen) Carnaby, Catherine (Jim) Jackson, Candy (Scott) Rieck and Clark (Laurie) Carnaby. They were also blessed with eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Clark attended Harvard University prior to serving as an officer in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Langley CVL 27. After the war, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. His career included 32 years as a Bank Trust Officer. He was Master of George W. Lininger Lodge in Omaha NE in 1955. He served as a Knight Commander and Master of Kadosh in the Scottish Rite and rode in the Najack patrol in the Shrine’s Club. In addition to family and God, Clark enjoyed a lifelong passion for sports in general and golf in particular. He held memberships at 5 golf clubs and played 3 times a week well into his 80’s. He scored his 4th and final hole in one at his home courses (Innisbrook) while in therapy after open heart surgery. In Royal Oak, he and Nancy enjoyed Red Run Golf Club. He was a charter member of the YMCA in Rapid City, South Dakota, and Royal Oak, Michigan, and a member of the Heritage Club in Detroit. A memorial service will be held November 1, 2014, at 11 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak.
