Therese Christman will visit the Royal Oak Public Library on Wednesday, September 21 at 7:00 PM to discuss her book, The Mayor's Daughter: A Royal Oak Trilogy. A Royal Oak native who grew up in the Northwood subdivision, Christman writes about her father H. Lloyd Clawson, who was mayor or a commissioner of the city of Royal Oak for about 24 years. He was also active in the development of Beaumont Hospital.

The book includes Christman's memories of growing up in Royal Oak in the shadow of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. Shrine priest The Rev. Charles E. Coughlin was a neighbor of the family.

Christman's talk will take place in the Friends Auditorium. She will be autographing copies of her book, which will be available for purchase after the presentation.
