Raising a Bilingual Child

Raising a Bilingual Child

Mon, Sep 26
07:00 PM - 08:30 PM
Friends Auditorium

Featured Programs, Adult, Parenting Series

More and more parents are asking questions about their child’s early language development. Does it confuse children to learn two or more languages at once? Will learning multiple languages cause a language delay? Presenter Julie Ogg will help dispel some common myths about children growing up bilingually and offer suggestions that can help parents teach children to become fluent in two or more languages. Practical strategies for children’s communication development will be shared.

March program attendees requested a chance to meet up again. Please join this group, or drop in about 8:00 PM for a short “follow-up.”

These parent workshops are presented by parent educators from Great Parents/Great Start – Oakland. The programs are for parents, caregivers, and child care providers of children ages birth to five.
