Video Memory Play Video Lidgey, James (Jim) Bryan; age 56; of Grand Blanc; died Sunday, October 19, 2014; at Holly Convalescent Center. Mr. Lidgey was born February 4, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of the late George and Mary Lidgey. He was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston. Jim was a volunteer Firefighter for White Lake Twp. for 13 years and North Oakland Fire Association for a few years. He was a end of line repairman for General Motors for 30 years retiring in 2008. On November 14, 1981, Jim married Rosetta Young in Pontiac, Michigan and she survives him; also surviving are children, Megan (Jonathan) Crothers of Greenville, SC and Jordan Lidgey; grandchildren, Spencer, Annaliese and Garrett; sisters, Donna Schneider and Beth Berry; brothers, David (Gail) Lidgey and John (Rosanne) Lidgey; many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 5790 Flemings Lake Rd., Clarkston, MI 48349 with Visitation beginning 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Glen Curry will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Marantha Baptist Church in Clarkston, building fund.
