Back by popular demand, Chris Briney of Living Tradition Yoga in Royal Oak returns to the Royal Oak Public Library on Saturday, January 8 beginning at 3:00 PM. Chris will be presenting a lecture and yoga demonstration on the many benefits of the practice of Iyengar Yoga.

Iyengar Yoga is named for living yoga master, B.K.S. Iyengar of Pune, India. Called "the Michelangelo of Yoga", and named by Time Magazine as one of the world's 100 most influential people, Mr. Iyengar is widely regarded as the world's greatest yoga teacher. Iyengar Yoga emphasized correct alignment of all parts of the body in each yoga pose. This precision builds strength and stamina, balance and flexibility, and remarkable health! Chris has been practicing Yoga since 1997 and is the only certified Iyengar Yoga instructor in the area. Join him to discover how you can pluck the fruits of health, vitality and happiness for yourself from the tree of Iyengar Yoga.

Introductory Iyengar Yoga Class
(Demonstration): 4:00 – 5:00 PM

This will be a moderately paced class designed to introduce beginning and continuing yoga students alike to the basics of Iyengar Yoga. It is appropriate for students with no major physical limitations or health conditions.
