William S. Stewart age 87 of Belding Mich.a former 64 year resident of Clawson died Friday November 30 2012 at home. He was born May 3 1925 in Gault Ontario Canada to parents William and Elizabeth Stewart. Bill was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army Air Force as a Second Lientenant bombedier. After the war he worked at General Speedometer Service in Highland Park Mich. and later at Bruce Supply in Troy until his retirement in 1987. He was a long standing member of Trelum Lodge #552 in Clawson and served as its worshipful master in 1961. He loved spending time with his family and friends and working in his yard. He also loved bowling and any help he could be to his neighbors. He is survived by his daughterGloria (Laurin) Preston of Troy and son Christopher (Kendra) Stewart of Belding. He is also survived by grandchildren Laurin Jill Michael Alex and Ben; great-grandchildren Michael Jacob Autumn and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean of 55 years; and son William. A private buriel will be held at Mt. Avon Memorial in Rochester Mich..
