Aileen R. Stannis age 85 of Berkley for 59 years passed away July 23 2012 at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak. She was born August 28 1926 in Rogers City to Hilary and Maude O'Toole. Mrs. Stannis received her RN training as an Army Cadet in the Nursing Corp during World War II. She later worked as a registered nurse at Willam Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak retiring in 1985. She is survived by her husband Gregory George Stannis; her children Kathleen Stannis Gregory P. (Denise) Stannis Jeffrey (Catherine) Stannis and Gordon Stannis; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday 2-8 p.m. scripture service 7 p.m. rosary 7:30 p.m. at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 12 Mile Road (2 blocks west of Woodward) Berkley. Mrs. Stannis will lie instate Saturday 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 11 a.m. at Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church 2600 Harvard (1/2 Mile north of Eleven Mile on Coolidge) Berkley.
