Daniel C. Slish age 77 a 48 year resident of Ferndale Michigan passed away on June 11 2012 at his home. He was born on June 30 1934 in Detroit Michigan. Daniel was the beloved husband of Marie for 57 years; father of Daniel E. (Debbie) Slish of Warren Janet McCarthy Elizabeth Markovitz and Mary (Cully) Hawkins all of Ferndale; grandfather of Aaron Nicholas Aurora Brandon Jillian Zachary Alex Molly and Quinn; great-grandfather of two. Brother of the late Paul Romanoff. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Reichhold Chemical Company. He was a baseball coach in Ferndale for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman. He will also be missed by his special pals his dogs Ventura and Harley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. at Hopcroft Funeral Home 23919 John R. Road Hazel Park Michigan. Funeral Thursday 10:30 a.m. instate followed by 11 a.m. Mass at St. James Church in Ferndale. Burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery Berkley Michigan.
