Ernest T. Martyniuk age 86 a Troy resident for 53 years died April 13 2012 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Mich. Loving husband to Geraldine and father to Dave (Patty) Behrendt Rick (Jill) Behrendt Jerry (Sharon) Behrendt Ernie (Kathy) Martyniuk Tom (Julie) Martyniuk and Mike (Cindy) Martyniuk. Grandfather to 14 and great-grandfather to 15. Preceded in death by his parents Harry and Mary; brother Walt; and sisters Eva Peric and Estella Dykehouse. A veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. Ernest worked at GM for 26 years as an engineer. He enjoyed cooking and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to garden.
