Barbara E. Schowalter age 86 of Royal Oak died on January 25 2012. Born in Holy Redeemer Parish in Detroit. She graduated from Imaculatta High School and Siena Heights College. She was an active member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower for over 60 years. Barbara was along with her husband Frank co-founder of Miners Den Jewelers in Royal Oak; where she was an active owner for 40 years. Her passions were her family her faith in God and summers at her Torch Lake cottage. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mother of Michael (Patty) Anne Michelon (Dave) Barb (Joe Tourongeau) Beth Guntzviller (Wayne) Dave (Ruth) and Tom (Sue). Cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 10.
