Gisele M. Feld age 91 of Royal Oak passed away January 14 2012 at her home. She was born February 27 1920 in Quebec Canada and came to Detroit with her family at the age of two. Mrs. Feld was musically gifted from a very young age singing professionally in Detroit and Chicago for many years. She was also a church organist and choir director at area churches for much of her life most notably St. Anne's in Detroit Our Lady of Fatima in Oak Park Guardian Angels in Clawson and St. Dennis in Royal Oak. She also taught music in those schools and gave piano and singing lessons in her home. Additionally she worked in the business sector for many years before and after raising her 13 children. Mrs. Feld was the recipient of "Mother of the Year" award as 'busiest mother in Oak Park' in 1956 presented by Confraternity of Oak Park where she was a charter member (having 10 children and working as an organist and choir director of Our Lady of Fatima at the time). She was preceded in death by her husband George A. Feld on June 21 2006; her youngest daughter Donna M. Feld on November 2 2006; brother Paul LeBel and daughter-in-law Pamela Feld. Mrs. Feld was loved and will be missed by her surviving children George (Geraldine) Richard (Mary) Gregory (Sharon) Michael Margaret (Willard) Looney Celia Leonard (Cathy) Kathryn (Robert) Saarela Mark Lawrence (Rena) Gerard (Ruth) and Marian; her 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter (who was born on Gisele's birthday in 2011 resulting in five generations of first-born daughters); countless step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister Jeannine (Robert) Kaiser; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday 3-9 p.m. and Wednesday 11-1 p.m. at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 12 Mile Road (2 Blocks W. of Woodward) Berkley. Funeral will be on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial of Cremated Remains will be June of 2012.
