Edward P. Quinn, 83, a Royal Oak resident for more than 60 years, died April 14, 2008, in Westland. He was born March 8, 1925, in Detroit. Mr. Quinn retired in 1987 from the railroad after 41 years of service. He loved flying planes, carpentry and playing golf. Mr. Quinn was also involved in home remodeling. Surviving are his wife, Zelda Quinn, whom he married March 4, 1946; his children, James (Maureen) Quinn of Livonia, Margaret (Robert) Blackwood of Westland, Mary Carol (James) Feak of Manton, Patrick (Carol) Quinn of Ortonville, Edward F. (Judith) Quinn of Mears, Bunny (Mel) Arbaugh of Ypsilanti and Daniel (Linda) Quinn of Madison Heights; sister Patricia Theison; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation Thursday, 2-8 p.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak, and Friday, 11:30 a.m. until the noon funeral Mass, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Royal Oak. Burial will be at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak, MI 48067.
