Frances Harnish, 89, a 79-year resident of Ferndale, died April 21, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born April 21, 1919, in White Pigeon. Mrs. Harnish graduated from Hazel Park High School. She loved to sew, crochet and read. Mrs. Harnish is survived by her children, Nancy (James) Pate of Berkley and Gary (Gloria) Harnish of Escanaba; her siblings, Myrtle Harnish of Mishawaka, Ind., Frank Oldenburg of Constantine and William (Grace) Oldenburg of Moftville; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred; siblings Sam, Hazel, Mabel, Wilma, Clara, John, Carl and Duane; and her son, Earl. Visitation Tuesday, 3-9 p.m., and funeral service Wednesday, 11 a.m., will be at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 W.12 Mile, Berkley. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
