Dorothy McNeill Strong, 90, of Berkley, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at her home. She was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Roswell, N.M. Mrs. Strong was the owner and proprietor of Watkins Cigar Company in the David Whitney building for 27 years. She was a member of the Kirk in the Hills Church, Bloomfield Hills. Mrs. Strong is survived by her children, Mary Susan (Henry) Strong Scott and Robert Donald (Jill) Strong; brother, Richard McNeill; grandchildren, Terry (Pat) Hughes, Tina (Mike) Andrzejak, Kelly (Paul) Ferri, Robert Strong and Jason Scott; six great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter D. Strong, whom she married Aug. 24,1946; parents, Archie and Laura McNeill; and siblings, Clayton McNeill, Edith Geir and Martha Minisci. Visitation is Friday from 3-8 p.m., and funeral Saturday at 11 a.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705W. Eleven Mile, Royal Oak. Burial at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
