Elna M. Kaye, 88, of Niles, died April 13, 2008, at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles, following a brief illness. She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Detroit. Mrs. Kaye enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and reading mysteries. She had a special interest in cooking and, most importantly, taking care of her family. She live most of her life in the Detroit area before moving to Niles in 2005. Mrs. Kaye is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. Clubb of Niles; sister Evelyn L. Culling of Royal Oak; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted George Kaye, whom she married June 19, 1940; and her son, James T. Kaye. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
