Dolores Ann Ottersen, 78, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, died April 7, 2008, at St. John Oakland Hospital, Madison Heights. She was born July 17, 1929, in Clawson to Clement and Grace Tilden. Mrs. Ottersen graduated from Royal Oak High School and was the bookkeeper at Harps Apparel in Birmingham for many years. She was the secretary of the Barton Towers Co-op, attended Renaissance Unity in Warren, and served as an advocate for the homeless and less fortunate. Mrs. Ottersen is survived by her children, Harold W. Ottersen of Austin, Texas, Darold T. (Lauren) Ottersen of Farmington Hills, Neta K. (Neil) Haske of St. Clair Township, and Martin R. Ottersen of Hazel Park; grandchildren Jennifer A. (Robert) Sater, Bill Ottersen, Brandon Haske, Eric Haske, Lindsay Ottersen, Amy Ottersen, Alicia Ottersen and Matthew Ottersen; great-grandson Austin Sater; and special friend Greg Hummel of Troy. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 1992; son Nells; and her siblings, Donna, Virginia and Tom. Visitation, Thursday, 1-8 p.m., and service Friday, 11 a.m., will be at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak.
