Albin W. Knechtges, 90, formerly of Ferndale, died April 4, 2008, in Commerce. He was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Calumet to Theodore and Katherine. Mr. Knechtges was a member of the VFW Post 1407 of Ferndale and the Ferndale Seniors. He is survived by his children, Geri Rusas, Jack McNaughton and Betty Lux-ford; 17 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette; and son, Bill McNaughton. Visitation, Thursday, 2-8 p.m., will be at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Directors, Ferndale. Interment at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi.
