William David Metz, 56, a 37-year Hazel Park resident, died March 31, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born Nov. 20, 1951, in Detroit. Mr. Metz is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen M. (Guigar) Metz; daughter Tammy; granddaughter Katie Lang; siblings Aaron Metz, Carol, and Karen Butler. He was predeceased by daughter Nicole; and his brother, Stephen Metz. Mr. Metz was a car enthusiast and enjoyed his 1995 Camaro. He also enjoyed driving mopeds. Visitation Wednesday, 2-9 p.m., and funeral service Wednesday, 7 p.m., will be at Hop-croft Funeral Home, 23919 John R., Hazel Park.
