Royal E. Russell Jr., 75, a 10-year resident of Caseville, formerly of Madison Heights for 30 years, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, in Caseville. He was born Jan. 4, 1933, in Detroit. Mr. Russell retired from the Madison Heights Fire Department in 1995 as a lieutenant. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy, in 2003. Surviving are his children,. Laura (Jon) Joyce of Madison Heights, Deborah Russell of Warren, Royal (Cyndy) Russell III of Clinton Township and Rachel (Patrick) Young of Chesterfield Township; sisters, Peggy Watson and Suzee McGraw, both of Caseville; nine grandchildren and former wife, Marilyn Russell of Madison Heights. Visitation, 2:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre, Madison Heights; services, 11 a.m. Wednesday, funeral home.
