Patrick Donald Maher, 56, a lifelong resident of Berkley, died March 17, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born June 21, 1951, in Detroit. Mr. Maher graduated from Berkley High School in 1969 and went on to earn a degree in automotive science. He worked for the City of Berkley DPW Department for more than 34 years. He was also a member of the Berkley American Legion. Mr. Maher is survived by his wife Bonita G. Maher, whom he married Dec. 16, 1972; his children, Amy (Brian) Brown of New Baltimore, and Holly Maher of New Haven; and his, brother Larry (Sandy) Maher of Westchester, Ohio. Visitation Wednesday, 3-9 p.m., and funeral service Thursday, 11 a.m., will be at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 W. 12 Mile, Berkley.
