Alvin Joslyn, 93, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Arbor Hospice Residence, Aim Arbor. He was born July 7, 1914, in Highland Park, to Lewis and Ruth (Patton) Joslyn. Mr. Joslyn is survived by his children, Paul Joslyn and Marilyn Kay (Charles) Joslyn-Sheets; daughter-in-law, Tsen Lin Joslyn; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Emma W. (Meggison) Joslyn, whom he married Dec. 23, 1938; and sons, James M. Joslyn, Donald Joslyn and David Joslyn. Visitation, Friday, 3-8 p.m., at Janowiak Funeral Home; 320 N. Washington, Ypsilanti. Funeral service Saturday, 10 a.m., will be at the First Baptist Church of Ypsilanti, 1110 W. Cross, followed by burial at Arborcrest Cemetery, Aim Arbor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Village at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital or Arbor Hospice.
