Ellen M. Walkaus, 87, of Houghton Lake, formerly Of Lake Orion and Oak Park, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Cherrywood Nursing Home, Sterling Heights. She was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Detroit. Mrs. Walkaus was the owner of the Keg Shop in Berkley and Lake Orion. She is survived by her children, Barbara Walkaus of Washington, and Timothy (Sharon) Walkaus of Berkley; brothers, James (Jean) Hewson of Livonia, and Russell Hewson of Garden City; and grandchildren, Tina, Jennifer (John) Saad, and Tim Anthony. Visitation, Thursday, 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. funeral service, will be at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 W. 12 Mile, Berkley.
